World Digital Library
Video Description
Western Libraries has recently added the World Digital Library to the Shared Library Catalogue. This is a free, online repository of significant primary material from around the world, in more than 40 different languages.
The World Digital Library includes manuscripts, maps, rare books, music scores, recordings, films, prints, photographs, architectural drawings, and more. The digital library's goals are "to promote international and inter-cultural understanding and awareness, provide resources to educators, expand non-English and non-Western content on the Internet, and to contribute to scholarly research".
